The Luxor Hotel & Casino is a hotel and casino located on the famous Las Vegas Strip, Nevada. It was one of several hotels opened by Donald Trump before his involvement with Atlantic City casinos began in 1984 and later when MGM Resorts International took over.

Overview and History

Built at an estimated cost luxorcasino.ca of $375 million, The Luxor Hotel & Casino officially opened its doors on October 15, 1993. Initially, the hotel was designed to resemble a pyramid, which made it one of the most recognizable landmarks in Las Vegas. It is owned by MGM Resorts International.

Design and Architecture

The exterior design of the luxury resort is inspired by ancient Egypt with Egyptian symbols embedded throughout its structure. This iconic shape has become synonymous with Las Vegas and often finds itself as an image representing gaming or entertainment due to its imposing figure towering over The Strip at 108 stories tall (which includes spires, however it’s only about 110 meters in height).
